Getting Started with Addtowallet.io

Welcome to Addtowallet.io! We’re thrilled to help you engage your customers with digital wallet passes. Here’s a friendly guide to get you started.

What are Passes?

Digital wallet passes, also known as mobile wallet passes, are digital versions of items like loyalty cards, coupons, tickets, and membership cards. They replace traditional physical cards and paper tickets, providing convenience for both businesses and consumers. These passes can be stored in mobile wallet apps such as Apple Wallet or Google Pay and typically contain essential information like a barcode or QR code, cardholder’s name, and more.

How Do Users Add Passes?

Users can add digital wallet passes to their mobile wallets by scanning a QR code, clicking a web link, or receiving them from a merchant. Once added, they are easily accessible on the user’s mobile device.

What are Templates?

Templates are the foundation for creating your digital wallet passes. At Addtowallet.io, our template tool allows you to design the look and layout of your passes. You can create five types of templates: coupons, rewards cards, event tickets, boarding passes, and generic cards.

What are Campaigns?

Creating a campaign involves importing customer data and generating passes from your templates. Pass links are created for each customer, which you can then export to your chosen service to distribute the links, such as through a mailing list service. Our campaign dashboard helps you track customers who claim your passes.

Steps to Get Started

  1. Creating a Template:

    • Navigate to the "Templates" tab on the Addtowallet.io site.

    • Click the "New Template" button to open the template type picker.

    • Choose from one of the five pass types (let’s create a coupon for this example).

    • Use the template builder to add text, images, choose colors, and configure your template.

  2. Preparing a Campaign:

    • Import your customer data, such as from CSV files.

    • Define the objectives and goals of your campaign.

    • Identify and segment your target audience for personalized messaging.

  3. Launching the Campaign:

    • Generate pass links for your imported customers.

    • Export the links to your chosen distribution service.

    • Track the success of your campaign using metrics like open rates and conversions.

  • Explore the Canvas: The canvas shows a preview of your pass. Click on areas to make changes.

  • Use the Toolbar: Switch between Apple and Google design modes, view the pass on a phone or watch, and undo/redo changes.
